Reception Information
Mizner Country Club (same location as the ceremony, so no need to go anywhere!!!)
Cocktail hour begins immediately after the ceremony, inside the clubhouse. Full bar - the choice is yours!!!
Reception, including dinner and dancing to follow the cocktail hour. Look forward to the fillet of salmon or the NY strip, whichever you prefer. Music will appeal to all, as our taste is broad. If there's anything you'd like to hear played, just provide a comment to this post.

Local Activities - JUST FOR FUN
From out of town??? This section is, especially, for you. Here are a few suggestions to help you enjoy your stay in South Florida. (Links for each can be found to the right of this web page.)
Shopping:
Town Center Mall (Boca Raton) - stores ranging from Old Navy to Nordstroms and Nieman Marcus.
Downtown Delray Beach has some great little boutiques and unique shops. Spend the day strolling up and down Atlantic Avenue in the Florida sunshine.
Restaurants:
Renzo's (Boca Raton) This is a "Jersey-style" Italian joint. Never disappoints. From zuppa de pesce to the braciole. Just make sure you visit the ristorante for the true experience, not their pizzaria. (They happen to be located down the street from one another.)
Tulio's (Boca Raton) The menu is best described as "Italian-fusion", but Tulio hasn't let Amanda & I look at a menu since we first got together for lunch at his restaurant, after having met one another on a flight back from Chicago. Instead, he always tells us that he's making us something special, and it always is. He remains a friend, and his new location has become a Boca hot-spot.
Bistro Zenith (Boca Raton) Fine American cuisine, topped off by the fried cheesecake for dessert...which, by itself, is a good reason to go.
Boston's on the Beach (Delray Beach) Located across from the beach, you can feel free to kick the sand off your feet, and kick back a few Corona's, while sitting on the rooftop lounge, overlooking the ocean, listening to the calming crash of the waves.
Sundy House (Delray Beach) The garden views here are beautiful! This historic building acts as a bed and breakfast, where you feed the fish swimming in the brooks, as you walk amongst the exotic Florida foliage. Enjoy a meal at one of the garden-side tables, and if you watch closely, you may see green parrots flying about.
Whale's Rib (Deerfield Beach) This is our favorite "hole-in-the-wall" raw bar/sandwich shop. Whale fries with whale juice help make this a local landmark
Coal Mine Pizza (Boca Raton) Great selection of brick-oven pizza, baked in the open while you watch. Our favorite is the meatball ricotta. Other great Italian specialities can also be found on the menu. There is a full bar, and both indoor and outdoor seating. If you do stop by, be sure to ask for Ashley : )
Entertainment:
Muvico Palace 20 (Boca Raton) This is an amazing place to see a movie! Plush love seats, stadium seating, dinner or wine/beer during the movie, great view without annoying disruptions. Just make sure your movie is being shown in The Premier when you go (Must be 21 and over.)
Boomers Mini-golf, rock climbing, arcade games - and Amanda's favorite - air hockey.
Beaches Delray or Deerfield beaches allow for accessibility to refreshments, and a quick bite (don't forget the sunscreen).

Travel Info
Just a few things, regarding transportation:
From either airport (Ft. Lauderdale or West Palm) it should take about 30-35 minutes to get to the Boca Raton/Delray Beach area.
For those guests who choose to stay at the Holiday Inn Highland Beach, a shuttle service will be provided the day of the wedding, taking guests to the ceremony and returning to the hotel at the end of the night. It will be leaving the hotel at 5:00pm SHARP, please provide your comments to this post if this is something you would be interested in utilizing as we need a more definite head count to determine the size of the shuttle.
If you are renting or driving your own vehicle, please follow the directions that were provided with your invitation.

Hotel Accomadations
A block of rooms have been set aside at the Holiday Inn Highland Beach.
We chose this hotel because it is located ON the beach, we were able to get some GREAT rates, it's within close proximity to Downtown Delray Beach (shopping, restaurants, bars, entertainment, etc.) and it will also allow for a short ride (approx 35 minutes) to the ceremony/reception site.
Also, the New Times of Broward & Palm Beach: Best of 2007 Edition (June '07) announced the following "Best of":
If you choose to stay here, there is a group rate, which will be held until 6/17/07. Just be sure to reference the Blum/Gromosaik wedding. Call 866.790.2198.

"It should be a crime to draw attention to such a serene spot, but were gonna do it. The Atlantic Coast line just north of Boca Raton has an odd mix of condo villages, luxury beachfront homes, and public parks with seemingly no beachfront commerce in sight. But hidden behind the Holiday Inn in Highland Beach is Latitudes, an unpretentious little restaurant that looks out onto grass-covered sand dunes. There's breezy outdoor seating shaded by huge umbrellas, as well as tables behind a glass-walled dining area. The stretch of beach ahead is usually empty, so diners can tuck into breakfast while contemplating the ocean and sea birds rather than staring at the bathing hordes. There are no lines to get in. No obnoxious young valet or packed parking lot to contend with. Just lots of hot coffee, a relaxed wait staff, and budget prices. The cheese blintzes with blueberries and heaping veggie egg skillets both go for $9.95."

Our Engagement Photo
Good news out of South Florida! On November 22, 2006 , I made it "official," proposing marriage to the lovely Ms. Amanda Blum. With her reply, came the happiest, most wonderful moment of my life. The next morning, I whisked her away to New Jersey for the Thanksgiving holiday, to show-off the "bling" to my friends and family, who reside there. She just about waited 'til we got on the return flight to start planning a July 21, 2007 wedding. (And, I thought we were, finally, about to get our weekends back, after moving into our new Boca Raton town home, just two months, earlier.) [This photo shows one of the first pictures taken of a beaming Ms. Blum seated next to her future husband.]
Today, Amanda and I, welcome you to our "blogspot" as we invite you to join us in celebration of our love for one another. Our special day, of course, is July 21, 2007. Although, the original thought behind this site was to help us to better share with loved ones from afar, we hope that we can utilize this to provide some information that will assist you in joining us on our special day.
So, welcome. We hope you will respond by sharing the blessings in your life, and thank you for allowing Amanda & I to share.
Peace & Love,
Kevin
